This large burl was harvested from a Chinese walnut tree in Auburn Maine. The bowl when turned upside down coincidentally looks like a large walnut. When friends first see this bowl they want to touch it, and are in awe at the grain patterns and small mysterious defects, the markings in this bowl provoke wonder about just how this happened. This is a very special, attractive, large heavy bowl that is a crowd stopper.
